Abstract: Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are the networks with many distributed sensors which have limited processing capability with wireless connectivity. The data from sensor network helps to monitor the environmental parameters. WSNs has been utilized in many fields such as coal mine safety monitoring, agriculture management, and also in vehicle monitoring. In this paper, sensor data collection using ARM7 microcontroller and Zigbee is studied. Use of Arduino board for the monitoring is also studied. The study is mainly to monitor the parameters in deep mining environment. 2018 American Scientific Publishers.
