5-(2,4-Dichlorophenyl)-3-(4-nitrophenyl)-1,2,4-oxadiazole

Abstract

In the title compound, C<inf>14</inf>H<inf>7</inf>C<inf>l2</inf>N <inf>3</inf>O<inf>3</inf>, the dichlorophenyl and nitrophenyl rings form dihedral angles of 5.4 (2) and 4.0 (2)°, respectively, with the oxadiazole ring. The nitro group is twisted out of the attached benzene ring by a dihedral angle of 10.4 (3)°. In the crystal, molecules are linked into a chain along the a axis by C - H?N hydrogen bonds. © 2010.
