Item Application of WASPAS Method for the Evaluation of Tamil Nadu Private Travels(Springer Science and Business Media Deutschland GmbH, 2023) Vadivel, S.M.; Sequeira, A.H.; Shetty, D.S.; Chandana, V.The most important and discussion topic is providing a sustainable service to customer in satisfaction on transportation facilities. Tamil NÄ du government has taken much initiatives to introduce more buses, trains in order to satisfy the customers while travelling. Tamil NÄ du (TN) has a huge population and people are expecting more facilities from TN government. Hence, in addition, Private bus travels came into that place to provide customers has better service. This paper aims to assess the performance of eight private bus travels passengers transport company in Tamil Nadu, Chennai. The performance data have been collected from both managers and frequent travelling passengers. The quantitative data collected from travels managers whereas qualitative data collected from passengers. These quantitative and qualitative have been analyzed with WASPAS a MCDM techniques. A novel MCDM technique known as WASPAS (Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment) proposed in this study. The overall systematic algorithm for determining the best private bus travels company has been illustrated in step-by-step basis for further enhancement. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.Item A Sustainable Green Supplier Selection Using CRITIC Method(Springer Science and Business Media Deutschland GmbH, 2023) Vadivel, S.M.; Shetty, D.S.; Sequeira, A.H.; Nagaraj, E.; Sakthivel, V.A supplier selection is a MCDM problem in nature as it deals with different criteria or attributes to find it out best one. It is a strategic decision approach for the ABC manufacturing company located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and Southern India. Currently, they are having five alternative suppliers by supplying raw materials in different sources. Management techniques will helpful in finding out importance of most weightage criteria to analyze the suppliers for their long term relationship and partnership. A CRITIC (Criteria Importance through Inter criteria Correlation) method, a MCDM technique will be helpful to identify this problem. We have considered here 6 attributes such as financial perspective, customer perspective, process perspective, Innovation and learning perspective, environmental perspective and social perspective. The purchasing manager interviewed and surveyed to identify the most importance criteria taken into consideration for selecting their supplier to their ABC firms. The CRITIC method used here to find out best weightage by considering quantitative as well as qualitative data for their firms. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.Item Valuation of Trash Management in Railway Compartment Using ENTROPY – A MCDM Method(Springer Science and Business Media Deutschland GmbH, 2024) Vadivel, S.M.; Eswaran, A.; Praveena, L.; Shetty, D.S.; Abhinav, A.Indian train routes are the most fashionable open-space project in India, but they have a starting problem with prodigal waste association frame. This is a problem with dry and wet garbage being transported inside of moving trains, along road tracks, and over involved rail courses. Typically enough, India has 7000 pilgrim trains that carry 23 million people. In India, the 16000 km square area surrounding the train course track has not been destroyed in any way. According to estimates, 6289 tonnes of plastic enter India’s rail rails on a regular basis. Other than the usual impurity, this enormous season of garbage is causing terrible clinical problems. We have done empirical research while travelling from Chennai to Mangalore regarding this issue. This study effectively and comprehensively deals with the enormous dry and wet garbage disposal within the moving train. In addition to helping to maintain the trains and rail course tracks clean, this will assist with the assessment dustbins disposal inside of trains in terms of passengers perspective. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.Item Impact of Contextual Factors on Adaptive Performance: A Study on Indian PSBs Using ANN Analysis(Springer Science and Business Media Deutschland GmbH, 2025) Shetty, D.S.; Suprabha, K.R.The Indian Public Sector Banks (PSBs) are at the cusp of significant structural changes and technological shifts. These radical changes have enormously altered the world of work by endlessly spinning due to the environment’s volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA). The maladaptive conditions created during these circumstances have increased the need for employees with stronger and steadier adaptive performance. Human capital is the asset of any organisation; thus, attracting, retaining, and maintaining these assets becomes the focal function of financial institutions like banks. Training and development activities are ongoing and crucial organizational processes to manage talents. The vitality of these activities is easily traceable in the institute’s growth graph. Thus, identifying the contextual competencies and training the employees to enhance these competencies is a challenge to any organization. This study proposes the application of Artificial Neural Network (ANN) as a tool to explore the competency in demand during disruptions in the Indian public sector banks. The use of ANN in accruing answers to research questions about employee competency management to enhance adaptive performance is a rare and inevitable study while dealing with disruptions in the banking sector. This study investigates the influence of Work Autonomy (WA), Emotional Stability (ES), Workplace Spirituality (WS), and Career Adaptability (CA) on Adaptive Performance (AP). The current study results are convincingly satisfactory and are very close to the Structural Equational Modelling (SEM) outcomes when compared with the same. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.Item Sustainable and Green Supplier’s Evaluation Using TOPSIS and Fuzzy TOPSIS Methods(Springer Science and Business Media Deutschland GmbH, 2025) Vadivel, S.M.; Shetty, D.S.; Eswaran, A.; Loganathan, K.; Abhinav, A.This study evaluates the efficacy of substitute selection at ABC Automobile Company in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, using a realistic fuzzy multi-criteria method. While management provided quantitative data, employees provided qualitative data. Fuzzy TOPSIS and the TOPSIS technique were used to examine subjective assessments of both qualitative and quantitative data in order to calculate the cost-effectiveness of sustainable supplier selection. Performance evaluation systems’ subjectivity and imprecision are represented by fuzzy numbers that are derived from linguistic notions. Fuzzy MA models are widely used to ascertain the degree of likelihood of each characteristic and sub-attribute, avoiding complex and inaccurate comparisons of fuzzy values. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.
