Item A unique method to uniformly distribute the load in LEACH and simulation(2013) Saboo, N.; Bhat, P.P.; Panwar, S.; Yadav, R.; Guddeti, G.A wireless sensor network (WSN) consists of spatially distributed autonomous sensors to monitor physical or environmental conditions, such as temperature, sound, pressure, etc. and to cooperatively pass their data through the network to a main location. Energy efficiency is the important key for WSN. To lower the energy consumption, the network is divided into several clusters in cluster routing algorithm LEACH (Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy). Even though clustering provides energy efficiency, but uneven load distribution still occurs in general. In this paper an approach is presented which divides the deployment region into sub-regions and thereby uniformly distributing the load among the sensor nodes. Different shapes are considered for dividing the deployment region into equal sub-regions. The proposed algorithm is known as enhanced LEACH (e-LEACH). © 2013 IEEE.Item Performance analysis of PSO for solving coverage problem in WSN(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc., 2023) Bhat, P.P.; Geetha, V.A Wireless Sensor Network consists of a large number of nodes which gather information from the surroundings and transmit it to other sensor nodes in the network. To maximize this area covered is the main task in a wireless sensor network. The gaps created due to the deployment of nodes leads to coverage holes, which leads towards the non area coverage and communication coverage. In this paper, we explore different deployment methods and use Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) to maximize area coverage of a given region. Our work explores the deterministic and random deployment techniques for sensor nodes to achieve maximum coverage with respect to both area and target and usage of PSO to optimize the solution. The results are compared with PSO with deterministic deployment of sensors in a given region. © 2023 IEEE.Item Node localization and performance analysis using Pelican Optimization Algorithm in WSN(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc., 2023) Bhat, P.P.; Geetha, V.In the current period of technical innovations, Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are a crucial utilization made in the modern age smart environments. Wireless sensors localization is acknowledged among the dynamic features and still the main problem concerning in WSN applications. This paper targets to encounter the issue of determining and optimizing the locations of sensor nodes in the network model when the data among the nodes is transferred wirelessly. Firstly, the network model is constructed with the sensor nodes. Then, Pelican Optimization Algorithm(POA) has been used to detect and optimize the location of sensor nodes. Finally, cost of the proposed system is estimated. It is mainly used to resolve the issues based on connectivity and coverage of nodes. Experimental result shows that the proposed work moves towards the appropriate node location and provide minimum localization error. The proposed system is outsourced from the exiting works through the performance metrics such as packet delivery ratio, throughput, end to end delay and energy consumption. © 2023 IEEE.
