The fast increase in electricity consumption has put pressure on the energy sector, particularly given the requirement to supply energy that is emissions-free today. Photovoltaic (PV) generator provides electrical power with zero carbon emission. PV delivers a DC power supply. The fluctuating load-current stress significantly impacts the efficiency and lifespan of the PV generator. In this study, a hybrid control system based on PI is presented to regulate the current limit and maintain the voltage level concurrently for hybrid systems supported by PV-SC under fluctuating load demand. The effectiveness of the suggested control strategy is first tested under varied loads in a MATLAB simulation before being put into practice at the Hardware-in-Loop OPAL RT platform. © 2023 IEEE.Cascaded controlCoordinated ControlHybrid ControlPower ManagementPV GeneratorSupercapacitor stackHybrid Controller Design for the Power Management of PV-SC HRES
