The proposed circuit offers substantial voltage gain and enhanced versatility, supporting both buck and boost operations in both power flow directions. Its bidirectional functionality and inherently balanced bipolar voltage output make the converter perfectly suited for integrating energy storage components such as batteries and ultra-capacitors with a neutral point clamped inverter in electric vehicle drive train or bipolar DC microgrid. Notably, there are no voltage restrictions for connections at the input port. The paper elaborates on the operating principles and provides steady-state simulation results to confirm the performance of the proposed topology across various operational modes. © 2024 IEEE.Bi-polar outputbuck-boost converterdual-input dc-dc converterfour-port converterzeta converterA Four-Port Buck-Boost Converter with Dual-Input and Bipolar-Output
