Accordingly, the numerical model is constructed with the help of semi-implicit fractional step algorithm utilizing a finite volume method to solve the corresponding continuity and Navier-Stokes equations. Numerical simulations are mainly focussed on changing Reynolds number (Re), magnetic number (Mn) and Stuart number(N). The results reveal that multiple recirculation zones emerge as a result of the combined influence of flow and magnetic field. Out of the three parameters considered, the formation of vortices is not affected by variation of Stuart number compared to Reynolds and magnetic numbers. © 2023Magnetic fieldsNavier Stokes equationsNumerical methodsNumerical modelsReynolds numberShear flowVortex flow'currentBiomagnetic fluidFinite-volume methodFluid flowingMagnetic numbersNonuniform magnetic fieldsReynold numberSimple shear flowStuart numberTwo-dimensionalFinite volume methodNumerical simulation of two-dimensional biomagnetic shear flow
