This circuit is derived from two circuit blocks having opposite temperature coefficients (TC). A conventional Beta multiplier circuit which generates a proportional to absolute temperature (PTAT) current and a proposed complementary to absolute temperature (CTAT) current circuit are used to generate a constant current that is independent of temperature. The circuit exhibits a very low temperature coefficient of 62.97 ppm/oC. This circuit can be used to generate flexible values of constant current in a temperature range of 10 to 80 C with a 1.8 V supply voltage. Proposed design is validated using Cadence Virtuoso tool with a 180nm standard CMOS process. © 2023 IEEE.Constant reference currentCTATPTATPVT variationsTemperature independent Current reference circuit
