Abstract

This article has been retracted at the request of the Editor. The data presented in the article for the formulation of the catalyst reported (complex 1) are mutually inconsistent and do not support the claimed formulation. Specifically, the claimed Ru(III) complex would be paramagnetic, in line with the magnetic moment recorded, but the NMR spectroscopic data used to support of the claimed formulation indicate a diamagnetic species. There is clear evidence that the findings are unreliable and accordingly this paper has been retracted by the editor. The scientific community takes a very strong view on this matter and apologies are offered to readers of the journal that this was not detected during the submission/reviewing process. The authors have been consulted but they do not agree to the retraction. © 2022 Elsevier B.V.
