| dc.description.abstract | A novel differential frequency-reconfigurable rectifier operating at 2.1 GHz and 3.7 GHz frequencies is presented for efficient microwave energy harvesting (EH)/wireless power transfer (WPT) applications. The rectifier is composed of tuning stubs, voltage doubler, matching network, and depletion mode field-effect transistors. The tunable matching stubs connected to and disconnected from the rectifier circuit depend on the controlling of the transistor switch ON or OFF, which is based on the rectifier output voltage. The proposed rectifier is fabricated and measured initially for output DC voltage. The RF to DC conversion efficiency is calculated using the obtained DC voltage. Measured results show that the maximum output voltage of 4.53V at 15 dBm input power and peak conversion efficiency of 64.5% at 5 dBm input power is obtained at 1KΩ load resistance. The proposed rectifier is found to be suitable to integrate the wideband/dual-band differential antenna operation at the aforementioned frequencies. © 2021 IEEE. | |
