Dissolved iron in drinking water is difficult to remove when present in concentration more than 1.0 mg/L. Adsorption of iron in laterite was tried. The iron removal was about 50% within 15 minutes. The rate of removal decreased considerably after 15 minutes. © Enviromedia.
