| dc.description.abstract | Increasing participation in decision making by teachers in educational institutions promote institutional effectiveness. Past research has focused on the relationships of teachers' participation in decision making and organizational citizenship behaviour. However, there exists paucity in research which verified the moderating role of job involvement between participation in decision making and organizational citizenship behaviour. Present study makes an attempt to fill the gap. Structural equation modeling with partial least squares method was conducted to test the research question formulated for the study. Data were collected for the 655 faculty members working in private engineering institutions, affiliated to JNT University, India. Results did not support the role of job involvement as potential moderator between participation in technical decision making and organizational citizenship behaviour. However, participation in decision making and job involvement were the predictors of the dimensions of organizational citizenship behaviour. The implications of the study are relevant to the administrators, head of the departments, and all the people holding power in engineering institutions. © Serials Publications Pvt. Ltd. | |
