This paper presents an experimental study of the ferrocement V-shaped folded plate units with ribs in the valley portion. The units with different plate angles and different percentages of steel consist of two layers of hexagonal wire meshes and mild steel bars. Deflections, strains and crack observations are made at various stages of loading. Predicted cracking loads, ultimate loads and deflections are compared with the experimental results. The suitability of the units for precast floor and roof purposes is discussed.en_US
