This paper presents an observer based control method for single-phase low voltage inverters in stand-alone mode. The performance of the proposed control scheme is evaluated with two different types of observers. Enhancements to the observer based control strategy are presented and compared with respect to the Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) in the inverter output voltage when feeding non-linear loads. Simulation results are presented to validate the proposed control methods. © 2020 IEEE.
