dc.description.abstractData Logging or 'Data Acquisition' is a very popular term in present day's industrial era. However it is a very useful electronic device to record a process, or environmental conditions. Because of the technological revolution the modern industrial and communication systems, the technological facilities are reaching in such a remote locations where immediate human interaction is not very easy. But periodic monitoring is a priority for those sites, as those sites contains very expensive equipments. So a remote data logging system is proposed in this paper using GSM (Global System for Mobile) modem to extract the overall remote site information and the proposed system is also integrated with GUI (Graphical User Interface). © 2014 IEEE.
