Bright zinc plating was obtained from chloride bath containing gelatin and P-tolualdehyde. The effect of bath constituents, pH, current density and temperature on deposits were studied using Hull Cell. The bath composition and operating parameters were discussed. Deposit properties, corrosion resistance tests were discussed. Throwing power, current efficiency and polarization studies were carried out.
