The synthesis of antimony thiourea tetra chloride (ATTC) single crystals by solution technique at room temperature is reported. The complex crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pnma with four formula units ofSb[CS(NH <inf>2</inf>)<inf>2</inf>]<inf>2</inf>Cl<inf>3</inf>·Cl in the unit cell. The structure has been solved by direct methods and refined to a final-R value of 0.0393. The synthesized crystals are characterized by FT-IR, UV-visible and TGA-DTA techniques.
