Item Social media influence and mobile government adoption: A conceptual framework and its validation(IGI Global, 2019) Hebbar, S.; Kiran, K.B.The study focuses on developing a mobile government (MG) adoption framework with a key consideration on social media (SM) influence. As social media is now becoming a prominent channel for various marketing activities knowing its impact on MG adoption is crucial. Further, as MG is constantly evolving, a deeper understanding on the adoption behaviour of the citizens is quintessential for strategizing its implementation. Thus, a detailed review of the articles on citizen’s perspective on MG adoption and social media, was performed. It was found that the integration of theories like DOI and URT, which are critical during the evolving stages of MG adoption is significant. The other key contribution is the consideration of social media and its impact on MG adoption. Further, the factors such as awareness, social influence, and facilitating condition were also found to be very crucial. The SM-MG adoption framework developed integrating the theories like DOI, URT along with Social media is validated using a Structural Equation Modelling and results of which are discussed in detail. © © 2019, IGI Global.Item Open innovation practices among Indian software product firms: A pilot study(Inderscience Publishers, 2017) Hungund, S.; Kiran, K.B.The focus of this paper is providing insights about open innovation practices adopted across the Indian software product small and medium enterprises (SMEs). This paper explores the awareness and adoption levels of the open innovation practices and the influence of these practices on the performance of the firm. The software product firms located in Bangalore are selected for the study. The framework developed is empirically tested on a sample of 30 software product companies located in Bangalore region. The results suggest that practices of open innovation are adopted and these practices help the firm to improve its performance. © © 2017 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.Item Do Social Media and e-WOM Influence M-Government Services? A Citizen Perspective From India(IGI Global, 2022) Hebbar, S.; Kiran, K.B.In Web 4.0 technologies, social media (SM) has emerged as a prominent tool for the government to interact and engage with citizens. It is also an effective channel for providing government services. However, for effective implementation and its success, it is critical to understand the citizens' perceptions towards the government's use of SM and its impact on mobile government (MG) adoption. Consequently, the study focuses on assessing the impact of SM influence and electronic word of mouth (e-WOM) on MG service parameters such as MG awareness, MG transparency, and MG trust. The results of structural equation modelling revealed the significance of e-WOM on improving MG awareness and trust and SM influence. Further, SM influence had a direct impact only on MG transparency. However, results revealed the importance of SM influence and MG transparency as a mediator for MG trust. Gender and age as moderators are investigated and discussed in detail. © © 2022, IGI Global.
